The scheme is simple, if you successfully introduce a new sponsor (company or individual) to SHC who takes any form of sponsorship at SHC you can claim a discount against your annual membership/match fees up to a maximum of £200 per annum per sponsor introduced. This can be in a variety of forms of sponsorship which can be tailored to suit the sponsor.

This maximum discount of £200 per sponsor is based on a discount of 40% of income received by SHC from each sponsor up to a maximum sponsorship value of £500 per annum. Any sponsorship income received by SHC from the sponsor over and above £500 per annum will not count towards any further level of membership discount.

Should the sponsor be willing to extend their sponsorship of SHC for more than a single season, the member will continue to receive a membership discount of £150 (30% of income received up to a maximum sponsorship value of £500) in year two and for up to a further three seasons thereafter.

Should a member introduce more than one sponsor to the club they will qualify for a discount for each sponsor introduced on the same basis as detailed above up to the maximum cost of their annual membership/match fee costs.

In certain instances, sponsors may only be willing to provide SHC with goods and services (i.e. benefits in kind) in return for sponsorship, rather than an agreed financial sum. We very much welcome all sponsors, including those who offer such benefit in kind arrangements. Such arrangements can be negotiated by a member of the SHC Executive Committee on your behalf.

Should members introduce such a sponsor to the club, SHC will offer a membership discount of £50 per annum (assuming the nominal value of this support is a minimum of £200 per annum or greater) for up to five seasons.

In order to introduce a new sponsor to SHC, and subsequently qualify for the associated membership discount, please complete and return the attached sponsorship form. On receipt of the form a member of the SHC Executive Committee will arrange to meet with the respective sponsor to discuss and agree the terms of any sponsorship agreement and shortly thereafter you will receive confirmation of your membership discount and details of how to claim it.

So how much does it cost to sponsor SHC?

Sponsorship at SHC starts from as little as £150 per annum for social media (website, Face book & Instagram) club sponsor status, pitch side banners start at £300 per annum (plus the initial cost of the banner), all the way up to £1,250 per annum for the sponsor naming rights of the club’s home pitch at Abbeydale Sports Club.
